New work by Liz Harris and Jamie Potter.
Since 2005 Liz Harris has been performing and recording under the name Grouper, and around the same time began focusing on drawings involving intricate black ink work, as well as making video collage used in conjunction with musical performances. Divide presents a selection of the pieces she has made in these mediums from the last year and a half.
Seattle-based artist Jamie Potter will show recent video work, which he created using a variety of cameras, monitors, and outboard effects processors. Experiments that led to these techniques began in 2005 while earning his BFA in ceramics at the University of Washington. Synthesizers are responsible for most of the accompanying music and sound.
